To Apply for Housing:
Applications are taken by appointment only. To make
an appointment please stop by our office and pick up an information/pre-application sheet.
Effective April 1, 2018 the Housing Authority became a Smoke-Free environment. This means all tenants, guests and visitors will be prohibited from using all lit tobacco products inside or outside all apartments, buildings and ground areas. Additionally, the use of liquid nicotine (vaping) products is prohibited outside of apartments.
Effective October 1, 2020 the one (1) bedroom and two (2) bedroom waiting lists are closed.
The waiting lists for Monroe's elderly one and elderly two bedroom units remains open.
On the day and time of your appointment you will need to provide us with the following items:
- Information/Pre-Application sheet (Completely filled out)
- Original Social Security Cards (For all household members)
- Original Certified Birth Certificates (For all household members)(NO PHOTOCOPIES)
- Proof of Income or Income Information (For all household members)
- Drivers License or Other Form of Identification, if available (For all adult household members)
- All Adult Members Must be Available to Sign Release Forms
